Title: The Sushi People
Writer: Fabian Nicieza
Penciler: Mark Bagley
Synopsis:
Nova is flying over Manhattan when he hears on the police band radio
in his new helmet that a crack house bust is in progress. He
assists the police by taking out the thugs inside the house.
When he returns home his parents are waiting for him and confront him
about being Nova again. At Genetech it is revealed that Rosen
and Furmintz are studying the soil remains of Terrax from his
encounter with the Warriors. Then they begin discussing what
progress has been made concerning Psionex. Some of them have
further developed their abilities. Also, Coronary was able to
reassemble himself after his encounter with Namorita left him
shattered. Just then, Psionex burst through the wall and inform
Rosen and Furmintz that they are breaking out. Back in
Manhattan, Night Thrasher is showing some of the other New Warriors
what will soon become their new base of operations, deciding that the
Ambrose Building was no longer safe after the Hellions attack.
The new base is an empty factory owned by the Taylor Foundation that
was never utilized. Just then, Chord radios Night Thrasher and
tells him about a priority call from Genetech concerning
Psionex. Marvel Boy, showing increasing control over his powers,
is able to fly himself, Night Thrasher, and Silhouette without someone
else towing him. Meanwhile, Chord is contacting Speedball
(whose parents are arguing in the background) and Namorita (who is
still recovering from her battle with Sea Urchin). In the Rider
apartment, Rich is talking with his parents about his power resurgence
when he also gets the call from Chord. The fully assembled team
meets up outside of Genetech, then crash through the wall. The
Warriors and Psionex begin fighting, much to the dismay of Furmintz
who feels that his dream of creating superheroes is falling
apart. In order to salvage his dream he decides to use the
containment units which hold the soil remains of Terrax to make
himself superhuman. Unfortunately, all he did was provide Terrax
with a human host so that he could recorporate himself. The New
Warriors and Psionex, seeing their new threat, stop fighting.
