Synopsis:  Night Thrasher sets out to create a team of young heroes.  His first recruit, a powerless Richard Rider (Nova).  Night Thrasher holds Rich over the edge of a building and drops him, which reactivates the power that lay dormant within him.  Marvel Boy, Night Thrasher's second recruit, is extended an invitation after being declined membership to the Avengers.  Night Thrasher uses blackmail to get Firestar to meet him, then asks her to join his team.  Shortly after the four members have met they fly to queens to battle Terrax.  Already on the scene is Namorita, who is there due to a field trip taken by her Environmental Science class from Empire State University.  The last teen hero to appear on the scene is Speedball, who witnessed the events on TV while shopping with his mother in New York.  The six teen heroes, with the help of Genetech's Walter Rosen, discover Terrax's weakness and defeat him.  After their defeat, Night Thrasher invites all the young heroes to join his team.  They all join, although some do so reluctantly.  Thus, The New Warriors were born.
