Name: Donyell Taylor
Identity: Secret
Membership Status: Active
Other Aliases: Bandit
Other Affiliations: None
Relatives: Daryl Taylor (father, deceased) Unidentified mother (deceased), Dwayne Taylor (half-brother, deceased)
Powers: Donyell currently wears a version of the Night Thrasher armor modeled after his brothers original armor. He is also a skilled marksman, acrobat, and hand-to-hand combatant. Formerly, Donyell was capable of generating bio-electric currents, which he channeled through an assortment of weapons he fired with a mini crossbow.
History: Born the illegitimate son of Daryl Taylor, Donyell grew up with little knowledge of his father. Over the years, he harbored a hatred for his half brother, Dwayne Taylor. Bandit was jealous of the life that Dwayne had, which he felt we was entitled to. Calling himself Bandit, he confronted Night Thrasher and defeated him. He later abducted Silhouette to force another confrontation with Thrasher, but this time was defeated.
Shortly after their second confrontation, Bandit and Silhouette became romantically involved. When she and the rest of the New Warriors were displaced in time by the male Sphinx, Bandit, with the assistance of Hindsight Lad, formed a second team of New Warriors. Bandit led this team as they helped to rescue the New Warriors and defeat the male Sphinx. After the rescue, Bandit and Silhouette both left the New Warriors.
Bandit later stole and sold information belonging to the Taylor Foundation to their competitors. This lead to the discovery that Night Thrasher was working with one of their former enemies, Scorch. Bandit and Silhouette attacked Scorch and Night Thrasher during a meeting. Bandit enjoyed taking part as it drove Silhouette and Night Thrasher further apart. Bandit and Silhouette disappeared, neither resolving their differences with Night Thrasher.
Sometime later, Bandit appeared in New Orleans romantically involved with the leader of the Thieves and Assassins Guild, Belladonna. Gambit revealed to her that Bandit was manipulating her and that he had never broken off his relationship with Silhouette. When the guild turned on the three of them, they joined together to defeat their common threat. Bandit then left New Orleans.
At some point Donyell and Silhouette ended their relationship and parted ways. Donyell was also one of many mutants who lost his powers after the events of House of M. Donyell and Dwayne eventually mended their relationship. Just as they were beginning to become close, Dwayne was killed by Nitro. During the explosion caused by Nitro, over 600 people were killed. The New Warriors name became disgraced by the tragedy. Donyell assumed the identity of Night Thrasher and assembled his own team of New Warriors to honor his brother and restore the good name of the New Warriors. Currently, Donyell is leading the New Warriors.
